About
We have now permanently moved to EmiratesMac.com and will not be posting anything else at this site. Please join us at the new site where we continue to post on anything concerning Apple, Mac, and iPod in the UAE. We also provide discussion forums where you can discuss issues, ask for help, or comment on what’s going on. See you there!
In an attempt to help spread the word about Apple’s products in general and the Macintosh in particular throughout the UAE, I started this web site. When moving here in 2005 I felt there was a need for more, regional information about Mac and related issues so the hope is that we can get more people to try Mac.
This site will contain a lot of mainstream Apple-related news and stories. They are not necessarily directly related to the UAE but it’s my aim to post as much UAE-related content as possible.
Posts that contain Apple Computer per day for the last 30 days.

Who is writing all this?
Well, I’m a big Apple-fan. I’ve used Mac since the late 1980s and followed the ups and downs of the company and their products ever since. I’ve personally owned a long line of Mac computers, including SE/30, IIcx, IIci, Quadra 660AV, a PowerCompuing clone, PowerMac 7200, PowerMac 8600, PoweBook 145, PowerBook 1400, PowerBook G4 12/15/17 inch, and iBook G4 12inch. In addition I have for work and other reasons first-hand experience of many more models. Since I spend too much time online devouring anything about Apple and their products (especially the Mac and Mac OS X) I thought why not try to share it with others.
It should be pointed out that what I write on this site is my opinion and no one else’s. If I give someone else’s opinion it is attributed in a quote and a link, or it says specifically whose opinion it is.
What Mac do I use?
Currently I use a Powerbook G4 17inch 1.67GHz and a Mac mini. The site is hosted at www.wordpress.com and I do most my writing with ecto.
